Gone is a book about death and grief, a mixture between fiction and non-fiction. It seems to appeal to readers of all ages, and quietly ponders the fragility of life, and the joy found in one’s memories.

I wrote Gone after the death of my mother. My challenge for this book was to treat the serious subject of grief with levity, but without becoming trivial. This is a book created in the old tradition of consolatio – consolation literature.
